Holding Up A Broken Star

This is an original acrylic painting from my Chameleon series. This series explores ideas of blending in and connection. In this piece, the subject is weighing her history, the broken parts, the beautiful parts, the complicated and intricate. Our histories and the things passed down from generation are something we all have to grapple with....what we choose to uphold and make a part of us and those we allow to fade into the background.
 
This acrylic painting measures 30”x40" and 1.5" deep. It is painted on a deep cradled wood panel edged in black, treated with an acrylic varnish coat, and wired to hang. No framing is necessary.
 
Due to differences in calibration of computer monitors, the artwork may vary in color from how it is viewed on the computer screen.
 
Paintings are carefully shipped in a box. They are hand-delivered by my trusty side-kick/partner-in-crime to our local post office and mailed via the United States Postal Service straight to your address leaving a trail of pixie dust along the way.
